HU HME Waterless Humidification Packs

The HU and HU-Plus Packs are exclusive to the BMC masks; the small heat and moisture exchangers (HME) provide waterless humidification. The small pods are easily connected at the top of the mask’s short tube within the integrated condenser.

Why use waterless humidification?

The humidification process improves comfort by warming up the airflow and reducing dryness and irritation. The HME tablets are a convenient alternative to a humidifier water chamber, providing effective humidification without the need for water and a bulky water chamber.

Important information: The M1 Mini HU humidifier system is only compatible with a BMC CPAP mask with an integrated condenser. Compatible masks include the BMC P2H, BMC N5H, or BMC N5AH mask.

How does it work?

These waterless humidification tablets capture the heat and moisture from exhaled breath and then use it to humidify and warm the air they inhale during therapy. The heat and moisture from every exhale are captured and stored within the HME’s tiny paper ridges. When they inhale, this heat and moisture is released to provide warm and comfortable air throughout the night.

HU Heat Moisture Tablet: These will provide comfortable humidification in most climates and sleep environments.

HU-Plus Heat Moisture Tablet: These are for dry climates and high-altitude environments, like on a plane with low humidity.

The BMC HME tablets are disposable and should be replaced every 30 days once opened, regardless of whether they have been used continuously.
