What is a spot-checking oximeter?
Fingertip pulse oximetry is a noninvasive test that rapidly measures oxygen saturation, pulse rate and perfusion index. The measurements assess how well oxygen is being sent around your body in your blood. The device does this by transmitting infrared light beams through your finger.

Here are some quick tips:
Begin by installing the batteries, opening the oximeter, and fully inserting your finger. Press the power button to switch on the oximeter, try to keep still and read the measurements provided on the device screen.
Once you remove your finger from the device, after 8 seconds, the device will shut down automatically.
